This is little Pearl Bunker's marker. She was the daughter of Homer H. and Eva C. Bunker. Homer was born in May, 1851 in Illinois, youngest child of Edward and Mira Bunker. Eva was born in Massachusetts in September of 1857. In 1880 Homer worked in a furniture store; in 1900 he gives his occupation as an undertaker.
Pearl had a little sister, Sura, born in December, 1884.
Pearl was born April 21, 1881 and died March 1, 1885 just short of her fourth birthday. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois.
Pearl's marker is damaged, possibly by being struck by a lawnmower. One panel is missing on the lower right side. The gravel fill inside is visible.

Where it all started

This is where it all started. The Burnham monument in Glen Oak Cemetery, Hillside IL. I had never seen a metal marker before. I came home, got on the net to research its manufacturer, Monumental Bronze Company, and the rest is history!

I'm a Rabbit!

I am so excited! Today I received an email from Mr. Terry Thornton of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits inviting me to join this wonderful group. What a great finish for the holidays!
