I am so excited! Today I received an email from Mr. Terry Thornton of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits inviting me to join this wonderful group. What a great finish for the holidays!
I am enjoying your blog about zinc markers. We see them in cemeteries and know so little about their history! Thank you for enlightening us about their role in "all things connected to burial grounds!"

My grandpa died when I was less than a month old. Almost every weekend was spent at the cemetery. Is it any wonder that I have such a fascination with them? Then too, it seems to run in the family. I have old family photos with my great-grandma and my grandparents spending an afternoon at the cemetery!
After seeing my first zinc monument, I became fascinated with their varied shapes, sizes and durability. Rare in the Chicago area, I spent much of the summer of 2007 prowling cemeteries looking for them. The result is my book, WHITE BRONZE, available at www.lulu.com
Welcome, Lynn, to the Association of Graveyard Rabbits. I look forward to learning about zinc markers.
